Intended Use
The headset microphone is intended for converting acoustic signals (sound waves) into electric
signals.
The low-level audio output may be connected only to suitable microphone inputs of audio de-
vices.
Any use other than as described above may lead to damage to the product and can also be
dangerous.
This product complies with the applicable national and European regulations.

Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions. We do not assume any liability for any resulting
damage.
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions. In such
cases, the warranty will be null and void.
An exclamation mark indicates important notes in these operating instruc-
tions, which should always be observed.
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modi

phone not permitted.
• Operate the headset microphone via a device with phantom powering (1-10 V/DC) only.
• When connecting the headset microphone, pay attention to the safety instructions of the de-
vice to which it is to be connected.
• Do not expose the product to high temperatures, strong vibrations, dripping water or water
spray.
• Use the product only in a temperate climate, never in a tropical climate.
• Don’t leave packaging materials lying around carelessly; they maybe become a dangerous
plaything for children.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer’s Liability In-
surance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Facilities are to be observed.
• If in doubt about how to connect the product correctly, or should any questions arise that are
not answered in these operating instructions, please contact our technical advisory service or

Features
The Mc Crypt CM518 headset microphone is a high-quality condenser microphone for voice
recording.
The range of use includes uses in the DJ industry, in studio recordings, conferences and trans-
missions, but also in the multimedia industry and in the communications technology.

Getting Started
Before using the product, please read the complete operating instructions
thoroughly in order to ensure its proper functioning.
To avoid distortion or mismatches that could damage the headset micropho-
ne or the connected audio device, connect the headset microphone only to
suitable microphone inputs. To do this, please pay attention to the connec-
tion data in the „Technical data“ section.
Never point the headset microphone at the sound openings of loudspeakers,
since this may lead to interference, which could damage the loudspeaker and
the connected ampli
fi
er.

• Put the headset microphone on and direct the neck of the microphone as desired.
• Lay the connection cable to your transmitter unit (body pack).
• Switch off the transmitter unit to which the headset microphone is to be connected.
• Turn the volume for the microphone input on the transmitter unit all the way down.
• Connect the headset microphone to the microphone jack of the transmitter unit.
• To avoid wind noise, you can place the enclosed windscreen on the microphone head.
• Switch the transmitter unit on and adjust the transmitter unit’s sensitivity to match the headset
microphone using the corresponding input level control (for this purpose, see the transmitter
unit’s user manual).
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed of in
the household waste!
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory
regulations.
