REMOTE CONTROL

You can use many features of the system when
you are away from home. To protect your
privacy, most features can only be used after you
have entered a Remote Access Code from a
touch tone telephone. The code is initially preset
to ”

159

”. You can use the preset code or

choose any 3 digit from 000 to 999. 

The procedure for remote access code setup/
display is as follows:

1.

Press the (

) key for about 2 sec and then 

release it to display the remote access code.
The code display/setup  will  be a high digit 
first, then a middle digit, and then a low digit.

2.

Press the (

) key or the (

) key to in-

crease or decrease the digit.

3.

Press the (

ANS

) key to select the correct digit.

4.

If a keypress exceeds 8 seconds, the setup/dis-
play procedure will be aborted.

Please Note:

If the AC power fails and there is no battery
installed or the battery is low on power, the
remote access code will return to the factory
setting.

If you have left home, you can change the
remote access code as follows:

1.

Dial your telephone number from a touch
tone telephone.

2.

When the system answers, enter ”

*

” to skip

the ANS play, a beep tone will be heard.

3.

Press the 

security code

+ ”

*

” to enter the

remote control mode.

4.

Enter ”

*6

” and then the new 

security code

.

5.

If a valid code number is entered, the system
