Using cruise set indicator light
Reference
• If the RESUME/ACCEL switch on the cruise control
switch is malfunctioning, the cruise set indicator light
will not give a correct indication when you inspect the
system. Use the
SST
(NGS set) to determine the
cause of the malfunction.
(Refer to page Q-9.)
Inspection
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
2. Turn the cruise control main switch on.
3. Press and hold the RESUME/ACCEL switch for at least
3 seconds to activate the self-diagnosis system. The
cruise set indicator light will illuminate for 3 seconds
and then go out for at least
2
seconds.
4. If a problem is present, the cruise set indicator light will
flash in one of the patterns shown on page Q -
1 1
.
If there is no problem in the system, the light will not
flash.
Canceling condition detection mode
To cancel condition detection mode, do any one of the follow
ing:
• Turn off the cruise control main switch.
• Turn the ignition switch to LOCK.
• Drive the vehicle at over 16 km/h {10 MPH}.
Diagnostic trouble code table
If there are two or more problems in the cruise control system, the problem with the highest priority
will be indicated.
