PROCEDURE FOR REMOVING THE TUB RING 

Models:

Concern:  

New tub ring is difficult to remove 

Cause:  

Due to the increase in size and depth of the tub ring, the working space between 

the tub ring and side panel is very limited.  

Correction:   

 

The technician must use care when servicing the tub or removing the tub ring. The 

procedure on the next page outlines the best practice to access the locking clips 

surrounding the tub ring.  

NOTE:

 Care should also be observed when this processed is followed so as not to 

damage or break the tub ring clips. Failure to do so may result in a second call to 

repair or install a new tub ring. 

IMPORTANT: Use of gloves and sleeve protectors are highly recommended.
