The USB receiver can be stored in
a slot on the back of keyboard.
3. Installation KSK-3205 RFM & KSK-3205 RFM Air
3.1 System Requirements
This keyboard requires a PC with USB connection and one of the following operating systems:
Windows XP / Vista / 7
No additional drivers are needed when using one of the above mentioned operating systems.
3.2 Installation of the USB-Receiver
In order to install your receiver, please perform the following steps:
Connect the USB receiver to a free USB port on your computer.
Advise: Please ensure, that the USB receiver has a minimal distance of 20 cm to metallic divi-
ding walls, other computer cases, monitors, ZIP drives,speakers and switching power supplies.
All the above mentioned operating systems with
Plug & Play support will recognize your receiver and
install the required drivers automatically.
During the installation phase your operating system
informs you by changing pop-up information win
-
dows about the current status of the installation.
Please wait patiently until the system informs you
that the installation was successful. The USB recei
-
ver is now ready for operation.
3.3. Installation of the Keyboard
In order to open up the battery case which is on the back side of the keyboard, apply light
pressure and pull the entire cover on the back of the keyboard downwards.
Now put in two type AAA 1.5V batteries, considering the right polarity in the battery case.
Switch the on/off switch to On.
The USB receiver and the keyboard are synchronized to the same channel by default. Usually a resynchronization is not
required (section 3.4).
In order to check the functionality, press any key on the keyboard. For example, when pressing the Windows
key, the Windows Popup menu on the bottom left hand side of your screen should pop up. Congratulations,
your wireless keyboard is working correctly.
If for any reason, you keyboard does not funcion, synchronize the USB receiver and the keyboard
as described in section 3.4.
Hint: If the functionality is influenced by other users applying their wireless keyboard close-by, do a resynchronization as de-
scribed in section 3.4.
3.4 Resynchronization of the Keyboard
The KSK-3205 RFM provides the latest radio frequency technology, which enables an uncomplicated resynchronization.
