Operation
•
Use the lever (located at the side) to loosen the motor head and tilt it upwards.
•
Add your ingredients to the mixing bowl or rotate the mixing bowl to remove it completely. Make sure the
mixing bowl is locked back in place afterwards.
•
The transparant safety cover can be removed if desired. However, it is recommended to always use the
appliance with the safety cover in place.
•
Mount the desired attachment; whisk, dough hook or mixing wing.
•
Lower the motor head and secure it by tightening the lever. As a safety feature, the appliance will not
operate if the head is not lowered properly.
•
Select a speed using the speed dial and press the start button to activate the appliance. Always start mixing
at a low speed and gradually increase the speed as required. The speed can be adjusted during operation,
without problem.
•
If you notice that the appliance has difficulty mixing at the set speed, lower the speed or change the
composition/thickness of your product.
•
When mixing light batches it is recommended that the mixer is not used continuously for a time period of
more than 30 minutes and a cooling off period of 15-20 minutes should be allowed between mixing cycles.
•
When mixing heavier batches it is recommended that the mixer does not run for more than 20 minutes
continuously and a cooling off period of 20-30 minutes should be allowed between mixing batches.
•
To protect the motor from damage, the appliance is fitted with an overload protection. It will activate and
shut down the device when the manufacturers recommended operating limits are exceeded. If this should
happen; allow the appliance to cool down and do not reactivate or use it for at least 60 minutes.
Afterwards, you can restart the appliance and carefully resume operation. Be advised; any damage caused
by overloading the motor is not covered by warranty
•
When finished, reduce the mixing speed to the lowest setting and switch off the appliance.
•
If the appliance will not be used for a longer period, always disconnect the power and/or gas supply.
•
Clean the appliance after use
(see chapter “
Cleaning and Maintenance
”)
.
Cleaning and Maintenance
•
Maintenance and repairs should only be done by a certified technician.
•
Regularly check and clean the appliance, its parts and accessories.
•
Regularly check the power plug and power cable for damage. If either is damaged do not use the appliance.
Instead, have it repaired by a certified electrical engineer.
•
Always switch off and disconnect the power- and/or gas supply before cleaning or maintenance.
•
ATTENTION! Never use aggressive cleaning agents or abrasives. Do not use solvents or petrol based cleaning
agents. Some cleaning agents may leave harmful residues or cause damage to the machine. Use a mild and
food-safe cleaning product instead.
