hand. Push and pull the car
seat from side to side.
The car seat should not move
more than
1 in.
(2.5 cm).

If the car seat
moves more than 1 in.
(2.5 cm),
you can try:
• Pulling the belt
tighter;
OR
• Reinstalling the car
seat;
OR
• Changing to a
different seating
location;
OR
• Switching to a
different install
method (LATCH or
vehicle belt).
