3-3 Connecting the load
Turn off the POWER ON/OFF switch.
(For safety, it is recommended that the AC input cable be disconnected during the operation.)
Be sure to ground the main unit as well as the load frame.
Follow the connection above to connect the shielded wire with the supplied high voltage cable.
After turing off the high voltage output, note the following points when you touch the load:
1. Set the output voltage setting to zero, or set the [OUTPUT ON/OFF] switch to OFF.
2. Confirm that the voltage is zero on the output voltmeter of the product.
3. Turn OFF the POWER ON/OFF switch.
4. Ground it more than 10 seconds. Then, check the voltage with a high-voltage
voltmeter.
It is especially dangerous
if the load is capacitive or if a cable longer than the
supplied cable is used
.
5. Use the right hand when operating the load.
