6.2 Analog Audio Pinout
Consult this section for the pinout of the DB-25 analog audio connectors of this device. Each DB-25 connector
uses the Tascam DB-25 pinout standard for balanced analog audio (3 lines per audio channel), described below.
There are a number of 3
rd
party products available which can be used to convert these connectors to individual
XLR connectors, 1/8" stereo jacks, etc.
6.3 Serial Interface Pinout
An RS-232 serial port is provided for system control. This interface uses serial signals with 8 data bits, No
Parity, and 1 Stop Bit (8N1). The standard DE-9 pin configuration is used for a DCE device for the RX, TX and
Ground lines. A straight through cable should be used when connecting between a computer’s RS-232 serial
interface and the device. This interface can be used up to 115.2 Kbits/sec.
This device also comes equipped with an RS-485 serial interface, which provides a 2 wire differential signal
interface for extended distance and high speed applications. This interface is 120 ohm terminated by default for
use as an endpoint of 2 or more RS-485 connected devices.
