Step 8.
Slide the clamp forward so the mid-point of the weld joint is centered between wingscrew assembly and the back of the notch
in the alignment bar.
Step 9.
Rotate the T handle assembly clockwise until the clamp is tight on the pipe.
Step 10.
Place the pipe or fitting in the clamp.
Step 11.
Rotate the upper wingscrew assembly clockwise until it touches the pipe.
Step 12
. With a straight edge check the alignment of the mating pipe or fitting to the main pipe.
Step 13.
Adjust the wingscrew assemblies as need to obtain proper alignment of the mating pipe or fitting to the main pipe.
Step 14.
Tack weld the pipe or fitting in place and remove the clamp.
If aligning several pipe of the same size Steps 1 thru 7 can be eliminated after initial set-up.
4.0 – MAINTENANCE
1.
All wingscrews should be inspected after each clamping operation for splatter and other foreign debris. Any slag, splatter and
other foreign debris should be removed prior to the next clamping operation.
2.
All wingscrews should be checked for damaged threads. If the threads are damaged; the threads should be filed smooth so that
the wingscrew will smoothly move in and out of the alignment bar.
3.
Check the threaded hole in the alignment bar for missing threads. If threads are missing do not use the Quik-Fit Clamp. Replace
the clamp.
4.
The wingscrews should be Lubricated with Loctite C5-A Copper-based Anti-seize lubricant or equal every 10 hours of operation.
5.
Coat the acme adjustment screw with a light film of Lithium grease.

Do not place hand or finger between the left or right frame assembly and the pipe. Failure to do so may
result in serious injury.
WARNING:
The clamp should not be the sole support of the mating pipe or fitting. Serious injury can result if the
mating pipe or fitting becomes disengaged from the clamp.
