OPERATION
2.4 To Start
1. Turn the fuel valve by moving the fuel cock level to the open position.
2. Press down the decompression lever. (When pulling the recoil starter rope, the
decompression lever will automatically return to initial position.)
3. Open the throttle control lever to the “start” position.
4. Grip the recoil starter handle
,
pull it until you feel slight resistance and return it slowly.
Then pull the recoil starter rope quickly.
5. If the engine does not start, repeat the start procedure from step 1.
6. If the engine has started, while listening to explosion sounds, return the choke lever
slowly to full-open position. Be sure to perform a warm-up run for the period 3 to 5
minutes at low speed, while paying careful attention to diesel leakage or abnormal
sound.
2.5 To Stop
Switch off the engine as follows:
Do not switch off engine by means of the decompression lever.
1. Reduce engine rpm‟s and let it run for a short while.
NOTICE: Do not switch off engine directly from full power.
2. Shut off the engine by moving the throttle control lever through the detent to the off
position. The engine will stop.
3. Close the fuel valve.
Note: For short-term operation interruption, it is only necessary to stop the
engine.
