To install the adaptor for
DREMEL

®

 brand oscillating tool

accessories

(fig 9-10)

The adaptor is used to permit DREMEL

®

 brand

oscillating tool accessories to be mounted on the
multi-crafter.

1. Disconnect the multi-crafter from the power

source.

2. Loosen the flange bolt with the hex key supplied

and remove the flange bolt.

3. Ensure that the inner threads and the drive

shaft are clean.

4. Align the grooves on the adaptor with the four

raised ribs on the drive shaft; put the adaptor
onto the drive shaft (fig 9).

5. Put the selected snap-fit accessory onto

the adaptor, making sure that the accessory
engages with the adaptor (fig 9) and the
accessory is flush against the adaptor (fig 10).

6. With your gloved hand holding the flange/accessory assembly, attach and tighten the clamping bolt

with the hex key.

Cutting

Saw blades are ideal for making precise cuts in tight areas, close to edges or flush to a surface. Select
a medium to high speed for making the initial plunge; start off at medium speed for increased control.
After making your initial cut, you can increase speed for faster cutting.

Scraping

Flexible scrapers are used for hard-to-reach areas and softer material, such as caulk. With the flexible
scraper, make sure that the screw head does not make contact with the surface during the scraping
process. This can be accomplished by making sure that the tool is at an angle to the work surface. You
should be able to see the blade flex during the scraping process.

To attach the sanding pad

(fig 7)

1. Disconnect the multi-crafter from the power

source.

2. Loosen the flange bolt with the hex key

provided (fig 3).

3. Ensure that the inner threads and the drive

shaft are clean.

4. Align the grooves on the sanding plate with

the four raised ribs on the drive shaft; put the
sanding pad onto the drive shaft (fig 7).

5. With your gloved hand holding the sanding pad, put the flange bolt on the tool and tighten it with the

hex key.

NOTICE:

The ribs on the shaft and the grooves in the application tools permit a firm connection of the

application tools in increments of 45° around the shaft. Apply the application tool in the orientation
appropriate to the task at hand.

To install the sanding paper

(fig 8)

1. Follow the directions for attaching the sanding

pad to the multi-crafter.

2. Align the sandpaper with the sanding pad and use

your hand to press it firmly on the sanding pad.

3. Press the sandpaper firmly against a smooth

surface for a short period then switch on the
tool. The burr will form a non-slip bond with the
outer edge of the sandpaper felt. This will avoid
premature wear.

4. If one point has become worn, pull off the

sandpaper, turn it 120°and place it on the sanding pad again.
