Always disconnect the heater from the LP cylinder before putting
the heater into storage. If for any reason the heater is to be
stored indoors, the tank MUST be disconnected from the LP
cylinder, and the cylinder stored outdoors in a well-ventilated
area, out of the reach of children, and in accordance with the
Standard for Storage and Handling of Liquefied Gases,
ANSI/NFPA 58 - latest edition and Natural Gas and Propane
Installation Code, CSA 149.1. The plastic valve plug or valve
cover supplied with the cylinder must be re-installed on the valve
to protect the fitting from damage.

Never store an LP cylinder inside of a
building, or near any other gas or oil

burning appliances.

NOTE: Installation and repair of this heater should be done
by a qualified service person.

Always be sure to follow proper maintenance procedures. This
should include cleaning the inside the heater once a month, and
checking the spark gap at least once a heating season.

LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS - MH-80V-LPC

1.

Stop!

Read all of the Safety Information provided with this

heater.

2. Turn valve on propane cylinder counterclockwise until fully

open.

3. Press in Control Knob and turn counterclockwise to 

LOW/IGN

position.

4. If burner does not ignite, turn Control Knob to 

OFF

position and repeat the ignition procedure.

5. Keep Control Knob pressed in for approximately to to 15 sec-

onds before releasing.

6. If the flame goes out, wait 5 minutes, and repeat the ignition

and lighting steps.

7. After heater ignites, turn Control Knob to desired heat setting. 

RELIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Rotate valve on cylinder clockwise to close it, and wait five (5)

minutes.

2. Relight following the LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS.

SHUT-DOWN INSTRUCTIONS

1. Turn Control Knob to the 

OFF 

position.

2. Rotate valve on cylinder clockwise to close it

LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS - MH-200V-LPC

Before lighting heater, turn control valve
to LIGHT position. Read safety 

information before starting the heater.

1. Fully open the valve on the propane tank, and set control valve

to LIGHT/ LOW position, then wait 15 seconds before Step 2.

2. Depress the red button on the safety valve, admitting gas to the

burner. While pressing the safety valve, push and release the
ignition button until the burner lights.

3. When the burner lights, continue to keep the red Safety Valve

depressed for 30 seconds, then release.

4. If burner goes out, wait 5 minutes and repeat lighting 

procedure.

5. When burner lights, you can now adjust the heat setting. to

HIGH by sliding the control valve up to HIGH setting.

NOTE:

When adjusting heat setting, the control valve only needs

to slightly slide up to achieve HIGH setting.

RELIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Rotate valve on cylinder clockwise to close it, and wait five (5)

minutes.

2. Relight following the LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS.

SHUT-DOWN INSTRUCTIONS

1. Rotate valve on cylinder clockwise to close it.

Ventilation

Always provide a fresh air opening in the

heated space of at least three square feet

(2,800 sq. cm.) for each 100,000 BTU/Hr of heater output.  For
these heaters, provide a minimum of 2.5 square feet of space for

the MH-80V-LPC, or a minimum of 6 square feet of space for the
MH-200V-LPC by opening a window or door to provide fresh,
outside air.
