Use 3M | Scotchlok
™
connectors (UY2) to connect new AMI Endpoint unit. Prior to connecting wires together, make sure wiring scheme
is correct. Refer to Universal Wiring Matrix found at the end of this document. NOTE: Connectors not provided.

Snip ends of both the new endpoint cable and cable from the wall so that no wires are exposed past colored sleeves. Push
wiring for each cable to the very back of gel cap. Used specialized Scotchlok pliers to make proper compression for gel cap
connectors.

Confirm and make certain that gel caps
are compressed correctly. Refer to
Master Meter Activation Guide for AMR/
AMI configuration.
