Mud Shields
FIG. 52:
The right-hand and left-hand mud shields (1)
are located inside the right-hand and left-hand tires.
To remove the shields, remove the hardware (2) holding
the shield to the combine. Pull out on the shield and
remove the shield from the combine.
Clean Grain Elevator Drive Shield
FIG. 53:
The clean grain elevator drive shield (1) is held
closed using a rubber latch (2).
To open the clean grain elevator drive shield, pull out on
and lift the rubber latch. Swing the drive shield open.
FEEDER OPENING COVER
FIG. 54:
The feeder opening cover (1) is used to cover
the opening in the feeder when the combine is parked,
transported, or operated on roadways.
To install the feeder opening cover, install the top of the
cover over the mounting lugs on the feeder. After installed
over the lugs, latch the header latches using the header
wrench.
