DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area
2
LPG temperature sensor signal circuit and ground
circuit check
1) Turn ignition switch to OFF position and then disconnect
connectors from LPG pressure-and-temperature sensor
and LPG control module.
2) Check for proper terminal connection to LPG pressure-
and-temperature sensor and LPG control module
connectors.
3) If connections are OK, check that LPG temperature
sensor signal circuit (B2) and LPG pressure-and-
temperature sensor ground circuit (C1) are as follows.
• Wiring harness resistance of each LPG temperature
sensor signal circuit and LPG pressure-and-
temperature sensor ground circuit is less than 1
Ω
.
• Insulation resistance LPG temperature sensor signal
circuit between LPG pressure-and-temperature
sensor connector and vehicle body ground is infinity.
• Insulation resistance of wire harness is infinity
between LPG temperature sensor signal circuit
terminal and each terminal at LPG pressure-and-
temperature sensor connector.
• Voltage of each LPG temperature sensor signal circuit
and LPG pressure-and-temperature sensor ground
circuit is 0 – 1 V with ignition switch in ON position.
Are they in good condition?
Go to Step 3.
Repair or replace LPG
temperature sensor
signal circuit and/or
LPG pressure-and-
temperature sensor
ground circuit.
3
LPG temperature sensor signal circuit voltage check
1) Connect connectors to LPG control module.
2) Turn ignition switch to ON position.
3) Check that voltage between LPG temperature sensor
signal circuit terminal and body ground is approx. 5 V at
LPG pressure-and-temperature sensor connector.
Is it in good condition?
Go to Step 4.
Substitute a known-
good LPG control
module and recheck.
4
LPG pressure-and-temperature sensor check
1) Check LPG pressure-and-temperature sensor. “LPG
MAP and Temperature Sensor Inspection (Bi-Fuel LPG
Model)”: in Section 1C
