Fuel Pressure Basic Check

LPG System
CAUTION
!
Do not use special tools that had been used
for a petrol fuel line. If petrol mixes in the
LPG fuel line, it could damage the LPG fuel
injector.
1) Check that LPG tank pressure is more than 6 Bar
using SUZUKI scan tool. Otherwise, refill LPG.
2) Relieve LPG pressure in LPG fuel feed line.
3) Disconnect LPG fuel hoses (1) from LPG fuel filter
assembly (2).
4) Connect special tools between LPG fuel hoses (1)
as shown in figure, and clamp hoses securely to
ensure that no leaks occur during checking.

5) Open manual valve of tank valve and then turn
ignition switch to ON position and select “Forced
LPG MODE” with selector switch.
6) Start engine and warm up to normal operating
temperature, and measure fuel pressure at idling.
• If measured pressure is within normal
specification, check LPG fuel filter for evidence of
dirt and contamination.
• If measured pressure is out of specification, there
is possibility of the following cause.
– LPG fuel leakage
– Vacuum hose fault
– LPG pressure regulator fault
LPG pressure specification
At specified idle speed: 110 – 160 kPa (1.1 – 1.6
kg/cm
2
, 16.0 – 23.2 psi)
7) Relieve LPG pressure.
8) Remove special tools from LPG fuel hose and LPG
fuel filter assembly.
9) Connect LPG fuel hose to LPG fuel filter assembly
and clamp it securely.
10) Check LPG fuel leakage.

LPG fuel feed line check 2
1) Check LPG fuel pipe, LPG fuel hose and joint for LPG
fuel leakage.
Are they in good condition?
Go to Step 5.
Repair or replace
defective part.
5
LPG pressure check
1) Check LPG pressure.
Is check result satisfactory?
Go to Step 6.
Replace LPG pressure
regulator.
6
LPG fuel filter check
1) Check LPG fuel filter for evidence of dirt and
contamination.
Is it good condition?
LPG system is in good
condition.
Replace LPG fuel filter.
