10) Check that camshaft and timing chain are installed
properly as follows.
a) Check that marks (1) on intake and exhaust
camshaft timing sprocket are aligned with top
face of cylinder head (2).
b) Check that notch (3) on crankshaft pulley is
aligned with “0” (4) of timing chain cover.
c) Turn crankshaft clockwise fully twice and check
again that match marks are aligned.
NOTE
• Be sure to turn crankshaft fully twice. If it
is once, marks on intake and exhaust
camshaft timing sprockets do not meet top
face of cylinder head.
• After turning crankshaft twice, the painted
links of timing chain are not aligned with
the match mark of intake and exhaust
camshaft timing sprockets, but it is
normal.
11) Check valve clearance.
12) Install cylinder head cover.

Engine Assembly Removal and Installation

Removal
1) Relieve fuel pressure in fuel feed line.
• Petrol model: Reference “Fuel Pressure Relief
Procedure: Petrol Model” in Section 1G in related
manual mentioned in the Foreword of this manual
• Bi-Fuel LPG model:
3) Remove EVAP canister.
4) For bi-fuel LPG model, remove LPG fuel filter (1)
with LPG fuel filter bracket (2).
5) Drain coolant.
6) Remove engine coolant reservoir (1).
7) For petrol model, remove battery bracket (2).
For bi-fuel LPG model, remove battery bracket (2)
with pipe component (3).
8) Drain the following oils if necessary.
• Engine oil:
• Manual transaxle oil:
9) Disconnect accelerator cable (1) from throttle body
and detach accelerator cable from its bracket.
