SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the User Instructions carefully before use
IMPORTANT:
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than
8 and supervised.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
Check that the voltage indicated on the type plate corresponds to the mains supply
voltage.
Do not leave the appliance unattended.
Regularly check the power cord for damage. Never use the appliance if the power cord or
any part of the appliance is damaged. A damaged power cord must be replaced by an
authorised electrician.*
Repairs must only carried out by an authorised electrican.*
The appliance is designed for household use only. Always follow these instructions.
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
Do not wash the appliance in a dishwasher.
Do not use the appliance on, or near hot surfaces.
Unplug the power cord before cleaning.
Never use the appliance outdoors or in damp areas.
A 230 V outlet in a bathroom must be protected by a residual current device. We
recommend that you install a residual current device with a maximum tripping current of
30 mA for the power circuit in the bathroom. Contact an authorised electrican for further
information.
Only use accessories recommended or supplied by the manufacturer. Other accessories
can damage the appliance and/or lead to personal injury.
Never move the appliance by pulling the power cord. Make sure that the power cord
cannot become entangled or caught in anything. Do not wind the cord round the
appliance. Do not bend the power cord.
Never put the appliance where there is a risk it will be splashed by water. Do not use it
near a bath tub, shower, or wash basin etc. Do as follows if the appliance is dropped into
water:

unplug the power cord immediately

do not touch the water

have the appliance checked by an authorised electrician* before using it again.
If using the appliance in the bathroom, always unplug the power cord after use. Water is a
source of danger, even when the appliance is switched off.
Keep the appliance dry, do not expose it to moisture (splashing water etc.), and do not
touch it with wet hands.
Unplug the power cord when not using the appliance, even when just putting it down for a
moment.
The air grill gets hot after a while. Make sure that the power cord does not touch the air
inlet when using the appliance.
