Feature Overview
Cable Routing
The unit contains a cable routing box, with specially designed holes to route cables from the video
modules out through an opening in the back of the unit.
Note:
For security, the unit is designed so that all the cables route out of the back of the unit and
through a hole in the wall behind the unit. See “Mounting the Recorder” on page 34 for more
information.
If you cannot route cables out the routing hole at the back of the unit, there are 4 knockout cable
holes available: 2 at the top of the unit (above the cable routing box) and 2 at the bottom of the unit
(below the cable routing box).
Cables from the video modules (PoE and HDoC modules), can be routed through the holes in the
side of the cable routing box. The box has a door secured with thumbscrews that you can open
when threading cables, then close to secure. This helps to keep cables organized, so that you can
clearly identify which cable leads to which video module input.
For security, cables route out of the back of the unit. If that is not possible, use the cable knockout
holes at the top and bottom of the unit.
If you are using the optional cable knockout holes, there are two widths available:
•
Small knockout hole:
34.925 mm (1.375”) – fits 1” cable
•
Large knockout hole:
44.45 mm (1.75”) – fits 1.25” cable
