Unit Setup

There are four screws securing each hard drive in the tray, two per side. (When viewing the
tray in the unit, you only see 2 of the screws for each hard drive.) Remove all four screws
and take the old hard drive out of the bracket.

Install the new hard drive or hard drives in the hard drive tray.
Position the hard drive so that when the tray is installed in the recorder, the connectors for the
data and power cables are at the bottom of the tray. Install the four screws to secure the hard
drive to the hard drive tray.

For each hard drive, locate the data and power cables (ensure that these are still connected to
the main circuit board) and connect both cables to the hard drive. Ensure that you are
connecting the data cable for hard drive 1 to the hard drive in position 1 (on the right of the
hard drive tray).

Install the hard drive tray back into the recorder unit and secure the tray to the recorder using
the thumbscrews.

Close and lock the door of the recorder.

Apply power by plugging in the recorder.
