To measure the diameter of a circle or cylinder:

  Select the Snap Plane 

 option on the Snap toolbar. The last snap plane 

created appears.

  The snap plane used in this measurement must be perpendicular (orthogonal) 

to the cylinder’s/circle’s axis point. If necessary, define a new snap plane using 

the Define Snap Plane 

option, as described in the Defining a Snap Plane 

Using Point Sets section on page 81 and the Defining a Snap Plane Using an
