The drive may only be operated with an ungrounded three-phase system -
except when connected via an isolating transformer - if the machine is
protected with the use of an overvoltage suppressor.
Note:
The information on page 6-13 will help you select appropriate
overvoltage suppressors.
Note:
Operating the drive with an overvoltage suppressor does not
offer the same level of protection as does the use an isolating
transformer. The purchase of big overvoltage suppressors is,
however, much less expensive. Please note that an
overvoltage suppressor, however, is destroyed once used and
then must be replaced!
If the mains voltage is not compatible with the permissible rated power
voltage, then an autotransformer can be used to match the voltages.
Note:
The information in chapter 6-11 will help you dimension the
autotransformer.
