Insert tele 4 (5) three-quarters of the way into tele 3 (4).
37.
Install the anti-roll plate (114) to the inside of tele 3 (4)
using the two bolts (105) (left and right sides) (see
Figure 4-37).
38.
Using an adequate lift and sling, slightly raise the front of
tele 4 (5) for the purpose of installing wear pads into the
front of tele 3 (4).
39.
Install the upper wear pad (103) into the front of tele 3 (4)
using the two bolts (27) and nuts (28) (left and right
sides); ensure the thin portion of the upper wear pad
(103) is oriented to the side of tele 3 (4) (see
Figure 4-37).
40.
Install the keeper plate (15) to the front of tele 3 (4) using
the three bolts (19), six flat washers (16), three lock
washers (17), and three nuts (18) (left and right sides)
(see Figure 4-37).
41.
Lower tele 4 (5) down onto the newly installed wear pads
(103).
42.
Install the shims (100) and the front lower wear pads
(101, 102) into the bottom of tele 3 (4).
43.
Install the left, right, and bottom keeper plates (2x-14,
13) to the front of tele 3 (4) using the bolts (19), flat
washers (16), lock washers (17), and nuts (18) (see
Figure 4-37).
44.
Install the stop block (56) to the front of tele 3 (4) using
the two bolts (58), four washers (16), two lock washers
(17), and two nuts (18) (left and right sides) (see
Figure 4-37).
45.
Fully insert tele 4 (5) into tele 3 (4), ensuring the
telescope cylinder (6) passes through the rear of tele 3
without damaging tele 3 and telescope cylinder (see
Figure 4-38).
46.
Install the sheave assembly (116) and three thrust
washers (115) onto the shaft of the sheave mount
weldment (117), ensuring one thrust washer is installed
between the sheave mount weldment and the sheave
assembly (perform this step two times).
47.
Install the sheave mount weldment/sheave assembly
(116/117) into the rear of tele 3 (4), ensuring the tele 4
retract cable (131) wraps around the sheave assembly
(116); mount the sheave mount weldment (117) to the
inside of tele 3 (4) using the four bolts (119) and flat
washers (118) (left and right sides) (see Figure 4-39).
