Location & Ventilation

The Manhattan T3 is an indoor product; do not use it outdoors. We recommend the Manhattan T3
has 10cm clearance from any other appliances susceptible to electromagnetic influences, such as a
TV or a VCR.  Slots and openings in the Manhattan T3’s cover are for ventilation. Ensure a minimum
clearance of 5cm around the Manhattan T3 for sufficient ventilation. Ensure the ventilation is
not impeded by covering the ventilation opening with items such as newspapers, table-cloths,
curtains, etc. Do not stack other electronic equipment on top of the Manhattan T3. Do not stand the
Manhattan T3 on soft furnishings or carpets. Failure to follow these instructions could lead to the
Manhattan T3 overheating.

WARNING

: Do not insert foreign objects into the Manhattan T3 through its air vents. You

run the risk of electric shock, and damage caused is not covered by the limited warranty.

Cleaning

Before cleaning the Manhattan T3, disconnect it as described in the Power section and unplug all
cables. Use only a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Microfibre cloths are recommended. Don’t use liquids,
window cleaners, household cleaners, aerosol sprays, solvents, alcohol, ammonia or abrasives to
clean the Manhattan T3.

such as an electric fire. Do not place naked flame sources, such as lighted candles on the
Manhattan T3. If there is a storm or lightning, unplug the Manhattan T3.

Batteries

The Manhattan T3 remote control takes AAA batteries. Always replace dead batteries with two
brand-new batteries from the same manufacturer. Do not mix old and new batteries or different
battery types (e.g. alkaline and manganese batteries). Never use damaged batteries.Do not expose
batteries to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.

Remove batteries from the remote control when not using for a prolonged period of time to prevent
battery leakage, corrosion and explosion.

Servicing

WARNING

: Do not attempt to open the Manhattan T3 or disassemble it. You run the risk of

electric shock, and damage caused by disassembly is not covered by the limited warranty. No
user-serviceable parts are inside.

Make sure that anyone who services your Manhattan T3 is qualified to do so. Make sure the person
carrying out the repair uses parts which are specified by us or which have the same specifications
as the original part. Other parts may cause a fire, electric shock or other dangers.

If the external power supply breaks or becomes damaged, do not use it. Do not cut or open the
power supply, as this will expose you to dangerous high voltages present inside. The power supply
is non-serviceable and does not have any replaceable parts inside. If the power supply is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or suitably qualified persons in order to
avoid a hazard.
