Chapter 5: Custom Commands
Introduction
After a successful barcode read, a string of numbers, letters or symbols populates on the host device. For
some applications, you may wish to include additional information such as barcode type or you may wish
to have the cursor automatically transition to the next available field.
Terminating-Character Setting
A corresponding terminating character can be added while using the scanner.
**Disable Terminating Character
Add Return CR
Add Newline
Add Tab (HT)
CODE ID Prefix
The Automatic Identification Manufacturers (AIM) ID defines the identifier for every kind of standard
barcode. If enabled, the AIM ID will be added to the beginning of the barcode data. The CODE ID prefix
marks the barcode type. To check the corresponding CODE ID of barcodes, refer to Appendix A.
