CRANK MECHANISM

Screwing in the aligning tools

• Screw in the

Aligning tool [150]

(1) at the front of

the crankshaft

• Screw in the

Aligning tool [151]

(2) at the rear of

the crankshaft

Lifting out the crankshaft

CAUTION
Danger of injury due to incorrect lifting
gear

• Use separate lifting gear with equal

length for each aligning tool

WARNING
Component damage due to incorrect
lifting gear

• Do not use any lifting gear or steel

cables with sharp edges to lift out the
crankshaft

• Attach the lifting gear using the aligning tools
• Lift out the crankshaft (1)
• Unscrew the

Aligning tool [150]

at the front

• Unscrew the

Aligning tool [151]

at the rear

Removing the crankshaft bearing shells from the
crankcase

• Mark the crankshaft bearing shells (1) to indicate

correct assignment and installation position

• Remove the crankshaft baring shells (1)
• Mark the installation position of the thrust

washers (2)

• Remove the thrust washers (2)

Pulling off the crankshaft gear

• Pull the crankshaft gear (2) off the crankshaft (3)
