f) Keep all power cords and cables away from cutting area.
Power cords or cables
may be hidden in hedges or bushes and can be accidentally cut by the blade.
g) Do not use the hedge trimmer in bad weather conditions, especially when there is
a risk of lightning.
This decreases the risk of being struck by lightning.
The machine shall be used in a covered and dry area. The ambient temperature
shall be included between 15°C and 30°C. The humidity level shall be less than
60%.
Warning: Harmful and toxic dusts can be produced when you use the tool on
hazardous materials. These dusts can endanger the health of operator and
bystanders. Always wear a dust mask when you work, keep bystanders away from
the working area and always use the dust collection system.
Check the hedge for foreign objects, e.g. wire fences.
Hold the hedge trimmer properly, e.g. with both hands if two handles are provided.
Use a residual current device with a tripping current of 30 mA or less.
If the supply cord of this power tool is damaged, it must be replaced by a specially
prepared supply cord available through the service organization.
Use only extension cords approved for outdoor work and protected against
splashing(H05VV-F). The extension cable must have conductors of at least 1,5 mm²
for a cable length less than 75m and 2,5 mm² if the length exceeds 25m. Before
use, always unroll the cable reel. Check the condition of the cable.
The hedge trimmer is intended to be used by the operator at ground level and not
on ladders or any other unstable support.
Before operating the hedge trimmer, the user should make sure the locking
device(s) of any moving elements (e.g. the extended shaft and pivoting element), if
any, are in the locked position.
Safety concerning the electric system
Caution! Before carrying out any maintenance or cleaning activity, stop the hedge trimmer
and disconnect the plug from the outlet socket. This also applies when the electrical cable
is damaged, cut or entangled.
Once the power to the hedge trimmer has been removed, the blades continue to move for
a few seconds. Caution! Do not touch the moving blades.
For safety reasons, the machine is equipped with double insulation and does not
require an earth connection. The operating voltage is 230-240V alternating current,
50 Hz. Use only an approved electrical extension. For more information, contact the
after-sales service.
Always check the hedge for foreign objects, e.g. wire fences before cutting with the
hedge trimmer.
For increased safety, it is recommended to use a differential circuit breaker with a
maximum fault current of 30 mA. Before each use of the machine, check this
differential circuit breaker.
Never use the hedge trimmer when it is raining. Never allow the hedge trimmer to
be exposed to moisture. Do not leave the hedge trimmer outside overnight. Do not
cut hedges when they are wet.
Caution! The extension connector must be protected against the ingress of
water, must be made of rubber or be covered with rubber. The extension must
