Measuring AC or DC current
1. Connect the red test lead to either the μA , mA or 10A socket depending on the type of current you want to
measure.
2. Turn the rotary switch to μA , mA or 10A .
3. Toggle between AC or DC current measurement by pressing the function key (FunC).
4. read the measured current on the display.
Resistance Measurement
1. Connect the red test lead to the "V
Ω
Hz" socket.
2. set the selector switch to ”
” and press on (FunC) until "
Ω
" is displayed.
3. read the result from the LCD display.
note: When measuring resistance, always make sure that the power is off.
Capacity Measurement
note: Before measuring a capacitor:
•
Discharge the capacitor by shorting its leads together.
•
press the "rEL" key until rEL is shown on the display.
•
When testing 100μF capacitor, note that there will be approx. 30 secs time lag.
1. Connect the red test lead the "V

3. read the result from the LCD panel.
Diode Test
1. Connect the red test lead to the "V
Ω
Hz" socket.
2. set the selector switch to ”
” and press on (FunC) until "
" is displayed.
3. Connect according to the following and check the reading. red(+)
Minus(-)
4. If the diode is correct, the approx. pass-through voltage is shown. oL will be displayed if it is a faulty diode.
Audible Continuity Test
1. Connect the red test lead to the "V
Ω
Hz" socket.
2. set the selector switch to ”
” and press on (FunC) until ”
” is displayed.
3. If the resistance is lower than approx. 50
Ω
±30
Ω
, the buzzer sounds.
Data Hold
on any range, press the "¤/HoLD" key to lock display value, and the "DH" symbol will appear on the display, press it again
to exit.
Back Light and Pen Light
on any range, press the "¤/HoLD" key longer than 2 seconds to illuminate the back light and the pen light, press it again
for more than 2 secs to turn it off.
Relative Measurement
press the "rEL" key, to measure the relative value and "rEL
∆
" will appear on the display, the auto range mode will change
to manual range mode. press it again to exit relative measurement and ”rEL
∆
” will disappear, but you cannot go back to
auto range mode.
