The transport wheel is used when you transport the tool.
The position of the wheel can be changed easily by hand.
Pull down the transport wheel, place the drag bar at
transport position.
Push down the handle and lift up the blade, then
transport the tool.
NOTE:
You can place the drag bar up side down if you feel
difficulties to transport the tool.
Storing the tool
WARNING:
•
Always be sure that the tool is switched off and
battery cartridge is removed before carrying
out any work on the tool.
Failure to switch off and
remove the battery cartridge may result in serious
personal injury from accidental start-up.
The handle can be folded for easy carrying and storing.
CAUTION:
•
Always perform on the flat floor to avoid accidents.
•
Always be sure that the transport wheel is in the
transporting position before you bend the handle.
•
Always hold the handle while loosening the handle
locking knob, or the handle may fall on person and
cause injuries.
•
When folding the handle, be careful not to have
your thumb and fingers pinched between the
handle and the frame.

Hold the handle by one hand, and then turn and remove
the handle locking knob. Then fold the handle slowly.
NOTICE
•
Always be sure that any cable is not squeezed
between handle and the tool, it may damage the
cable.
•
After folding the handle, temporarily screw lightly
the handle locking knob into the original hole to
avoid losing it.
If you put the tool on a car etc, fold the handle, and hold
the front carry handle and the rear carry handle.
MAINTENANCE

Always be sure that the tool is switched off
lock key and battery cartridge are removed
from the equipment before storage or
attempting to perform inspection or
maintenance.
Failure to switch off and remove the
lock key and the battery cartridge may result in
serious personal injury from accidental start-up.
NOTICE:
Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner, alcohol or
the like. Discoloration, deformation or cracks may
result.
Checking and replacing the blade

Replace the blades when they are worn to the extent
shown in the figure.
NOTE:
•
Replace the blades when they are worn to about a
half of it. Blade replacement is recommended as
early as possible for a good performance with a
Makita original blade.
