Install the guard extension
Mounting the cutter guard
- Hook the hood (

) by the cutout (

) on the lug (

).
- Insert and tighten bolt (

) and nut (

).
Important: Safety regulations and your own safety make
it imperative to use the right cutter guard with a given
cutting tool!
Warning:
Use only the cutting tools shown here! It is not
permitted to use other cutting tools as this can increase dan-
ger of accidents and cause damage to the equipment!

Mounting the guard extension for use with trimmer head.
- See above for installation of the cutter guard.

Attach the guard extension (

) supplied with the brushcut-
ter to the upper part of the cutter guard (

), bending it to

t the contour of the guard.
- Attach the trimmer line knife (

) to the guard extension
(

) with the bolt (

).
Note:
If the trimmer line has been extended (see “Adjusting
the line”) the trimmer line knife automatically cuts the line
ends to the same length during use.
