18/24/30VL Unvented Gas Logs
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Never connect unit to private (non-
utility) gas wells. This gas is commonly
known as wellhead gas.

ARNING
18VL, 24VL and 30VL gas log appliances are design
certified as unvented room appliances for installation in
an ANSI approved ventless firebox enclosure.
Notice: If installed in a VF32-R, VF36-R, VF42-R, EVB36,
VF36, VF42, or VF3D ventless fireplace enclosure, this
gas log appliance can only be operated as an unvented
heater. Unvented heaters are not permitted by some
state or local codes. Before installing a ventless firebox
enclosure for this gas log appliance, check your state
or local codes to determine if unvented heaters are
permitted in your area. If unvented heaters are permitted
in your area, follow the instructions accompanying the
ventless firebox enclosure.
Do not install this appliance in a bedroom or
bathroom.
Do not install this appliance in a fireplace whose flue is
serving a separate solid-fuel burning appliance.
If this appliance is installed in a fireplace equipped
with outside air facilities and the entrance point of the
outside air is located in a plane above the bottom of
the fireplace, the outside air facility must be sealed at
the point it enters the fireplace. Failure to do this may
create a fire hazard.
Due to high temperatures, this appliance must be located
out of traffic and away from furniture and drapery.
Installation and repair should be done by a qualified
service person.
