MPU card and LPU card both support hot swap. LPU module has ONLINE
button, which is used for hot swap of LPU modules:
•
To un-install the running module, press the button. When the hot-
swap indicator turns to flash from on, and then goes out, it means
that the LPU module is un-installed successfully.
•
To load the LPU card inserted to the shelf, press the ONLINE
button. When the hot-swap indicator turns to flash from on and
then turns to on, it means that loading the LPU card successfully.
•
To remove modules with electricity and avoid damaging the
module, first confirm that the module is in the un-installed state
(the hot swap indicator is off) and then you can hot swap the
module.
•
To insert modules with electricity, you can insert modules directly.
When the hot swap indicator turns to flash from off and then turns
to on, it means that loading the hot swapped module is
successfully.
Control Card (RM7B-MPU408-4GEH) (Mandatory)
The control card is the most important and mandatory circuit board on the
device. The board is configured with four-core high performance CPU, 16-
128M FLASH, 512 M -1G DDR2 SDRAM, four 10/100/1000M Ethernet
interface, one AUX interface, one FE interface, USB interface, one CF slot
and one console interface.
The powerful router software-MyPower-R is compressed and saved in
FLASH. After the device is powered on and begins to run, MyPower-R is
automatically de-compressed from FLASH and enters DDR2 SDRAM.
MyPower-R automatically checks and configures the interface processing
board in LPU slot to make it work normally.
