11 Measuring
11.1 Setting the measuring force
1. Press the star grip and turn to the left (measuring
force 1) or right (measuring force 2).
2. Allow the grip to engage again.
Measuring force 1:
For thin-walled or nonrigid test pieces and preferably for internal measurement.
Measuring force 2: For external measurement and for right-angled alignment of the centre mounting.
11.2 Changing the measuring range external measurem ent
1. Release clamping lever (1) and move counter-
spindle (2) to the right to the desired position.
2. Then tighten again so that the counter-spindle does not
move during the measuring operation.
Calibrate the display unit after each move of
the counter-spindle.
11.3 Changing the measuring range internal measurem ent

Release the right-hand gauge slide and fasten it in
the second bore in the measuring spindle.
11.3.1 Exchanging centering points
Apply the removing tool (Nr. 27766018) and slide the centering points out.
