Calibration Procedure

Set the brake tester to zero
Set the zero point using the “LON-Manager” program.

Set up the MJV II
Setup depending on brake tester model, see illustrations in section “Calibra-
tion > Calibration Setup“.
For MBT 2000/3000: Adjust the car adapter, see instructions in section “In-
struction”.
IMPORTANT: Screw in the fork at least so far that the red mark is completely
covered.

Align the adapter and the force sensor
MBT 4000/5000/6000/7000: Insert hardened pin of hook unit into the adapt-
er guides to connect it with the calibration arm. Align the force sensor.
IMPORTANT: Screw in the yokes at least so far that the red mark is com-
pletely covered.

Set the brake tester to zero
Remove the load from the MJV II, until zero is displayed in the LON-Manager.

Set the force sensor to zero

Preload the MJV II
Preload the MJV II with the applicable full scale value for approx. 30 s.
IMPORTANT: Before reducing the load, please wait until the system has set-
tled.

Work through the reference points
Work through all reference points one after the other; slightly preload each
point first, then reduce to correct value.
Examples:
Point 1 kN
preload to 1.2 kN, reduce to 1 kN
Point 5 kN
preload to 5.5 kN, reduce to 5 kN
Point 20 kN
preload to 21 kN, reduce to 20 kN
Point 40 kN
preload to 42 kN, reduce to 40 kN
IMPORTANT: Before reducing the load, please wait until the system has set-
tled.
