the
type
of
wiring
to
the
strAin
gAuge
The choice of the type of wiring depends on the length of the cable between the LMU and the strain
gauge transducer, on the impedance of the transducer and the linear resistance of the cable.
If the linear resistance of the cable is
≤
0,1
W
/m, the impedance of the strain gauge transducer is
≥
200
W
and the length of the cable is
≤
100 m, the wiring of type 1 can be selected (see
figure 2–7
).
The wiring of the type 2 of
figure 2–7
applies to cable lengths of more then 100 m or when the cable
length has been changed after the calibration of the load monitoring unit.
