I380 Encoder Replacement Procedure

How to Remove the Defective I380 Encoder
1.
Remove the Fargo Printer from the ExpressCard chassis, refer to the Printer Replacement
Procedure (P/N: 99875404).
2.
Disconnect the I380\ Fargo communications cable (
jp10
connector on the Fargo Printer
main board), see figure 1.

3.
Remove the 4 screws (2 on each side of the printer) that secure the I380 bracket with
encoder to the printer, see figures 2 and 3. In addition, remove the plastic cable retainer
from the printer, located below and between the two securing screws on the right side of
the printer unit, shown in figure 3.
