Note: Ensure the AC mains lead is connected to the
power input socket ( 19 , page 39 before use but do not
switch the unit on yet.
First, clean and/or protect all equipment according to
hospital procedure (see page 76 for information on
cleaning and sterilising).
a. Connection
Once the patient is anaesthetised, the electrodes may
be inserted into the relevant locations on the patient.
Plug the electrodes into the corresponding sockets on
the pre-amplifier (

22 & 24
, right).
Plug the green reference electrode/s into either green
socket ( 23 , right).
Plug the pre-amplifier lead (
25
, right) into the correct
socket on the rear of the screen ( 12 , page 39).
Attach the pre-amplifier to the side rail of the operating
table using the mounting clip.
Plug one end of the stimulator pod lead into the socket
on the stimulator pod ( 29 , right) and connect the other
end to the socket on the pre-amplifier ( 25 , right).

4.2 Connection & Disconnection
Attach the stimulator pod to the side rail
of the operating table (away from the
surgical zone) using the mounting clip.
Set the power switch to ON (I) ( 20 , page
39), The monitor will run a connection
and audio test (see "b. Connection &
Audio Test" on page 40).
Note:
It is advised not to drape the patient
until after the electrode impedance
check.
If used, attach the mute sensor to the
electrosurgical unit’s monopolar pencil
lead and plug the mute sensor into the
mute sensor socket ( 15 , Page 39).
Note:
It is advised that you do not connect
the stimulating probe/s until required.
