Dear MAGNAT Customer,
Congratulations on your fine new product and thank you very much for choosing MAGNAT! You have made an excellent 

choice. The high-quality MAGNAT products are renowned all over the world. Please study the instructions and information 

below carefully before using your new loudspeakers.

IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

•   Please read through the instruction manual carefully before starting to use the device. This manual contains 

important information concerning operation and safety aspects. Failure to follow these instructions may result 

in electric shock, personal injury, fire damage, damage to the speaker or other equipment. It is imperative you 

observe all of the information. Keep the manual in a safe location.

•     WARNING  NOTICES: 

All of the warning symbols on the device, accessories and in the instruction manual itself must 

be adhered to.

•   

The charger is only suitable for use with the Li-Ion battery of the Bulldog 7 active speaker. The battery voltage must 

match the battery charging voltage of the charger. Otherwise, there is a risk of fire and explosion.

•    USE AFTER PROLONGED STORAGE:

 After storage of 12 months or more, the voltage of the battery should be 

checked first. If the required voltage (18V) is no longer present,  the battery must be recharged. 

•   EXPOSURE TO HEAT: 

Only operate the device and accessories in a temperature range from 10°C to 40°C. The 

device should not be positioned near heat sources (heaters, ovens, radiant heaters, naked flames, etc.). No naked 

flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the device. Pay attention to a sufficient ventilation of 

the device. The device may not be covered, e.g. by drapes, curtains. There is a risk of fire due to the heating of the 

power supply unit. The device can become very hot during the charging process at high ambient temperatures. Use 

protective gloves when touching it.

•    

EFFECT OF MOISTURE:

 The device should not be exposed to dripping or splash water. Do not expose the device to 

water or high levels of humidity. There is a danger of electric shock. In the event of contact with moisture or liquids 

remove the mains adapter immediately.

•  

CLEANING:

 Please use a soft, dry cloth with no cleaning agents, sprays or chemical solvents, as these could damage 

the surfaces. Ensure that it is clean, otherwise there is a risk of electric shock. Do not operate the charger in a 

flammable environment. 

•  

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION:

 Please note the voltage levels on the information signs. The device should only be 

operated with the voltage and frequency values specified on the signs.

•  

LIGHTNING PROTECTION/PREVENTIVE MEASURES:

 If the device is not going to be used for a prolonged period 

(e.g. when on holiday), it should be disconnected from the mains by removing the plug. The device should also be 

disconnected from the mains in the event of a thunderstorm. Doing this will prevent damage caused by lightning and 

overvoltage.

•  

MAINS CABLE:

 The mains cable must always be suitable for operation and it should only ever be laid out in a manner 

that prevents it from being trodden on. It should not be pinched by objects either, as this can damage the cable. 

When using plugs and power strips it must be ensured that the cable is not kinked at the point where it emerges from 

the socket. Do not connect or remove the mains cable with damp hands. The mains plug is used as the disconnecting 

device. Disconnecting devices shall remain readily operable. If the supplied cable is not compatible with your socket, 

please ask an electrician to replace the unusable cable.

•  

OVERLOAD:

 Sockets, power strips and extension cables should not be overloaded. Observe the rated values on the 

sockets and extension cables. If an overload occurs, there is a risk of electric shock and fire.

•  

HANDLING:

 Before operating, check the condition of the device and the enclosed cables (power cable, connection 

cable to the battery). In case of damage, do not use the device. The housing of the device is not allowed to be 

opened! There is a risk of electric shock. In case of improper use or damage, vapors may escape from the battery. 

The vapors may cause irritation of the respiratory tract. Provide exhaust air and consult a physician in case of 

complaints.

  Use only the original accessories supplied or specified by the manufacturer.

The triangle with a lightning symbol warns the user that high voltage is used within the device which 

can result in electric shock.

Do not open! Risk of electric shock!
CAUTION: In order to avoid electric shock do not open the speaker housing/mains 

adapter or remove the covers. Do not use any sockets or extension cables that 

do not fully accommodate the plug of the device.

This is Class II apparatus with double insulation, and no protective earth provided.

 INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISPOSAL

In accordance with European Directive 2012/19/EU all electrical and electronic appliances must 
be disposed of separately via local collection points. Please observe the local regulations and do 
not dispose of your old appliances with normal household waste.

ATTENTION

The charger is only suitable for use with the Li-Ion battery of the Bulldog 7 Active speaker. 

EXTERNAL CHARGING OF THE BATTERY

1.   Remove the battery (see the instruction manual of the active loudspeaker)
2.  Connect the adapter cable (5) to the charger cable (4).
3.   Now connect the other end of the adapter cable (5) to the cable of the battery (6).
4.  Connect the power cord (1) to the charger (2).
5.  To start the charging process, insert the mains plug into a mains socket.
6.  Once charging is complete, unplug the charger from the power outlet and then remove 

 

the charger from the battery.

7.  The battery can be reinserted into the active loudspeaker (see the operating instructions 

 

for the active loudspeaker).
