(Extremely flammable contents under pressure.) Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from heat or flame. It is illegal
and dangerous to refill the gas cylinder. Obtain new gas cylinder from your dealer. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight.
Do not store near heat or in a room used for habitation. Always close torch valve and wait at least 30 seconds before
removing torch from gas cylinder. Always detach gas cylinder from torch when not in use. Do not breathe gas, fumes, vapor
or spray. If inhaled, remove affected person to fresh air. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. For skin contact, flush with large
amounts of water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. When gas
cylinder is empty, discard in a safe place. Do not throw in fire. Do not puncture or incinerate container. Federal law forbids
transportation if refilled. Penalty up to $25,000.00 fine and five years imprisonment (49 U.S.C. 1809).
Read and understand these instructions prior to use.
Before attaching torch to gas cylinder, check and make sure valve is OFF by turning knob in clockwise direction hand tight
only. DO NOT FORCE.
Turn gas cylinder clockwise into valve body until HAND TIGHTENED and attach securely. Save the cylinder protective cap
for later storage.
DANGER – ALL MODELS:
ASSEMBLY – ALL MODELS:
1. Torch should be pointed in a safe direction away from
people and objects.
2. Torch may be operated with Propane or MAPP

‚ fuel.
3. Make sure the regulator valve is OFF by turning the knob
in a clockwise direction when installing a gas cylinder. DO
NOT FORCE.
4. With valve open and without lighting, test all connections
for leaks with soapy water at the torch and gas cylinder
connection. Check all joints and couplings periodically to
insure against loose connections. If a leak is detected,
replace the gas cylinder and check for leaks again. If
leaking still occurs the torch MUST NOT be used. DO NOT
ATTACH OR DETACH TORCH WHERE OPEN FLAMES CAN
IGNITE ACCIDENTALLY RELEASED GAS. Crossed threads
may result in the sudden escape of extremely flammable
gas.
5. Examine the torch’s o-rings for cuts or other damages.
Do not use torch with damaged or cut o-rings. The
complete orifice/o-ring adaptor must be service by
Magna’s factory. This torch has a special orifice installation
process and should ONLY be changed by Magna’s factory.
6. Do not use torch with a cylinder tipped more than 60º
from the upright position as this may cause the torch to
flare.
7. Turn the regulator knob counter-clockwise about 2
1
/
2
to
3 turns, the gas will blowout with a light “hiss” sound from
the torch.
8. Press “ignition button” and the flame will ignite
instantly. If torch does not ignite, increase or decrease gas
flow and repeat ignition process. After torch lights the
ignitor button may be released.
9. Low gas flow will cause the tube tip to turn red hot.
Continued use in this manner may cause damage to the
igniter system and void any stated or implied warranty.

BELT CLIP
With the two prongs on the closed end of the clip pointing
up press the open end of the clip into the groove on
regulator valve. The clip will snap into the secure position.
In a downward motion slide the clip over a belt or other
suitable support. The best and safest use of the belt clip is
to put the clip and cylinder on your side. This way you will
not loose the cylinder when climbing a ladder or
performing any other activity. If using other suitable
support for the clip, take caution to insure that the clip will
not become dislodged. While using a suitable support do
not stretch the hose beyond the torch’s 4 foot limitation.
The clip may become dislodged from the cylinder or the
cylinder could upset. When removing the clip from the
regulator body, do not pull on the hose. Grasp the clip and
regulator body and separate.
The gas cylinder contains gaseous and liquid fuel. If the torch is moved rapidly, tilted too far to the side or upside
down, the liquid can enter the valve and cause the flame to flare or extinguish.
Make sure torch is cool before tightening or removing torch head or before installing or removing accessories.
WARNING – ALL MODELS:
For hottest, most efficient flame, adjust inner blue flame of pencil burner to 1-1/2” to 2” in length.
TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT – ALL MODELS:
In cold weather the size of the flame will be smaller. To produce a large flame, pre-warm the gas cylinder to room
temperature prior to use. Shaking the gas cylinder a few times to warm the fuel up will help. There is a greater
possibility that the flame will extinguish when the torch is turned upside down in cold weather.
COLD WEATHER OPERATION – ALL MODELS:
8. Press “ignition button” and the flame will ignite

flow and repeat ignition process. After torch lights the
ignitor button may be released.
9. Low gas flow will cause the tube tip to turn red hot.
