If the name you chose is
already being used, this

Name the waypoint. Enter
one to six characters as
described in "Entering
Data" on page 2-14. Press
ENTER.
OR
Press ENTER to name the
waypoint automatically.
If you do not choose a
name for the waypoint, the
NAV 5000 generates one.
Unit-generated names are
in the format WPTxxx,
where xxx represents
numbers 001 through 099.
Waypoints are numbered
in sequence.
