Pairing instruction for the SMART PHONES
Note :
A) Some of the advanced features such as the voice caller ID would not properly work with
the smart phones featuring the HEADSET Profile only.
B) It is common for most of the smart phones have the extra security feature (similar to the
firewall in the computer network system) requiring users to PAIR the smart phones with
the Bluetooth devices first and then go back to the connection feature in the phone menu
to Authorize the Bluetooth device to be permanently CONNECTED with the handsfree
system.
Let's try to pair the smart phones to the BT handsfree unit as the HANDSFREE profile first!
Please follow the below Initial pairing instruction.
1. Make sure that the smart phone battery is fully charged.
2. Clear/delete all Bluetooth devices registered in your smart phone. Also, turn off the unit
and take out the battery (reset) and reinsert the battery and turn on the unit.
3. Turn on the power of the BT handsfree unit.
4. Turn on the Bluetooth on the smart phone by following the smart phone manual.
5. Press Vol(+) button of the BT handsfree unit for 5 seconds and wait for the the confirmation
melody.
6. Discover the BT handsfree units on your smart phone.
7. Once your smart phone discovers the BT handsfree unit, enter the Authentication Passkey
complete pairing.
8.
If there is no connection, go back to the Bluetooth Settings in your smart phone.
Services tab and make sure that the BT handsfree unit is AUTHORIZED to be
paired with your smart phone. You will hear the paired confirmation melody
once the BT handsfree unit is paired with the smart phone.
* Pairing with the headset mode, the BT handsfree unit does not support the caller ID
features.
Please repeat the step 1 to 4.
COMPATIBILITY:
The BT Handsfree products are compatible with most Bluetooth equipped mobile phones.
The BT Handsfree products support most of the Bluetooth mobile phones features such as
the last number dialing, Audio transfer, Caller ID, etc if the Bluetooth mobiles contains such
features.
Must Power off for vehicles with the DC auxiliary power jack feature:
Some vehicles continuously supply 12 Volt DC power to the auxiliary power jack (cigar jack)
even the engine is off and the ignition key is out of the vehicle.
The user must pull out the power jack cord before exiting the vehicle making sure the
Bluetooth unit power is off. Otherwise, either the phone or handsfree would not function
properly requiring the user to turn both phone and handsfree off and reconnect by following
the manual.
