Frequently Asked Questions
How do I disable the “coin” button?
Inside the machine, remove the micro switch from the back of the push button.
Turn the microswitch slightly counterclockwise a quarter turn to remove it. The
coin button will now no longer simulate coin insertion
What are the black flipper buttons for?
The “magna saves” have different functions depending on the game being
played. The programmer or creator of the pinball game can assign special
functions to each button, so the function is different each time.
Why doesn't launching the ball with the trigger work?
Some game builders use the “LAUNCH” launch button instead of the trigger.
This is different per game.
My flippers seem slow to respond. What is going on ?
The dynamics of the pinball machines are entirely determined by software.
During some games it seems as if the cabinet responds slowly. This is exactly
how some pinball machines used to respond to electromagnetic coils. Here too,
the maker of the pinball game determines how fast and how the pinball players
respond. Sometimes they react quickly and fiercely, sometimes cumbersome
and "springy" or even a bit lame (mechanical cabinets used to have this
problem).
