Attaching D or D1 Series Draper Header
The procedure for attaching a D or D1 Series Draper Header to the windrower differs slightly depending on the

Hydraulic Center-Link with Self-Alignment
The windrower may be equipped with an optional self-aligning hydraulic center-link, which allows the Operator to control
the vertical position of the center-link from the cab.
NOTE:
Draper header boots must be installed onto the windrower lift linkage before beginning this procedure. For instructions,
refer to
4.5.1 Attaching Header Boots, page 215

DANGER
To prevent bodily injury or death from the unexpected startup of the machine, always stop the engine and remove the
key from the ignition before leaving the operator

s seat for any reason.

Shut down the engine, and remove the key from the ignition.

Remove hairpin (A) from pins (B), and remove the pins from
both header legs.

DANGER
Ensure that all bystanders have cleared the area.
3.
Start the engine and activate HEADER DOWN button (A) on
the ground speed lever (GSL) to fully retract the header lift
cylinders.
IMPORTANT:
Before starting the engine for the first time the windrower
is operated in a season, remove the protective cover from
the exhaust stack.
