Removing and Installing Secondary Air Filter
Replace the secondary air
fi
lter (A) every year or after every
third primary
fi
lter change (even if it appears clean).
If you’re changing the secondary air
fi
lter because it is dirty,
inspect the primary
fi
lter and the
fi
lter canister to determine
the reason for contamination.
• Examine the
fi
lter canister for cracks and replace if
necessary.
• Ensure
fi
lter sealing surfaces are soft,
fl
exible, and
sealing properly. Hard seals may allow debris through
to the secondary
fi
lter.
• Ensure canister retaining latches are secure.
NOTE:
• Do
NOT
remove the secondary
fi
lter element unless it
needs replacing.
• Do
NOT
attempt to clean the secondary element (A).
Replace only.
