Break-in Period
When operating the hay conditioner for the first time, operate the conditioner slowly for 5 minutes, watching and listening
FROM THE OPERATOR'S SEAT for binding or interfering parts.
WARNING
To avoid injury or death from unexpected start-up of machine, always stop the engine and remove the key from the
ignition before leaving the operator

s seat for any reason.
NOTE:
Conditioner will
NOT
operate until oil flow fills the lines.
NOTE:
Until you become familiar with the sound and feel of your new hay conditioner, be extra alert and attentive.
After first 5 hours of operation:
•
Tighten any loose hardware.
•
Adjust the tension of roll drive belt. For instructions, refer to
5.7.1 Adjusting Drive Belt Tension, page 81
. Continue to
check the belt tension periodically for the first 50 hours.
