From the rear of the conditioner, position the tool at center
of rolls (A) as shown in illustration at right, and manually
turn rolls to limits of tool (B). Rolls will engage the tool if
timing is correct.
3.
Manually turn rolls to release tool.
4.
Return the tool the storage location on the right end of the
conditioner. Secure it with a washer and wing nut.
WARNING
Remove the tool from the rolls and return it to the storage
location before starting machine.

Running up the Conditioner
To run up the conditioner, follow these steps:
CAUTION
Never start or move the machine until you are sure all bystanders have cleared the area.
WARNING
To avoid injury or death from unexpected start-up of machine, always stop the engine and remove the key from the
ignition before leaving the operator

1.
Clear all bystanders from the area.
2.
Refer to the windrower unloading and assembly instructions or operator
’
s manual for windrower operating
instructions.
3.
Start the windrower and run the header. Operate the conditioner slowly for 5 minutes, watching and listening FROM
THE OPERATOR'S SEAT for binding or interfering parts.
4.
Run the header for 15 minutes.
5.
Perform the run-up check as listed on the Predelivery Checklist (yellow sheet attached to this instruction

refer to
Predelivery Checklist, page 217
) and the header run-up check to ensure the machine is field-ready.
6.
Shut down the engine, and remove the key from the ignition.
