Unplugging the Cutterbar
1.
Stop the forward movement of the machine and disengage the header drives.
2.
Raise the header to prevent it from filling with dirt, and engage the header drive clutch.
CAUTION
Lowering rotating reel on a plugged cutterbar will damage the reel components.
3.
Disengage the header drive clutch and fully raise the header if plug does
NOT
clear.
DANGER
To prevent bodily injury or death from the unexpected start-up or fall of a raised machine, always stop the engine and
remove the key before leaving the operator
’
s seat, and always engage the safety props before going under the
machine for any reason.
4.
Shut off the engine, remove the key from the ignition, and engage the park brake.
5.
Engage the header safety props.
CAUTION
Wear heavy gloves when working around or handling knives.
6.
Clean off the cutterbar by hand.
