On the right side of the header
’
s backtube, place the inner
end of the inner half of the tow-bar into cradle (A).
NOTE:
The exact appearance of the tow-bar storage cradle varies
according to the model of header.
5.
Secure the tube end of the tow-bar in support (B) on the
endsheet using L-pin (C) from the tow-pole connection.
Secure the L-pin with ring (E).
6.
Install rubber strap (D) on cradle (A).
7.
Attach the header to the windrower. Refer to windrower operator
’
s manual for instructions.
IMPORTANT:
Carrying the tow-bar on the header will affect the main header float. Refer to your windrower operator
’
s manual for
adjustment procedures.
8.
Place the transport wheels into field position. Refer to the following:

•

Moving Front Wheels into Field Position
The front (left) wheels are located closest to the towing vehicle. To prepare for operation in the field, the wheel assembly
must be rotated to face the cutterbar and lifted to the desired height.
DANGER
To prevent bodily injury or death from the unexpected start-up or fall of a raised machine, always stop the engine,
remove the key, and engage the safety props before going under the header for any reason.
1.
Raise the header fully.
2.
Shut down the engine, and remove the key from the ignition.
3.
Engage the header safety props.
