
Installing Narrow Draper Deflectors
Narrow draper de
fl
ectors can replace wide de
fl
ectors if bunching occurs at the ends of the header when decks
are set for center delivery.
DANGER
To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected start-up or fall of a raised machine, always stop engine
and remove key before leaving the operator’s seat, and always engage safety props before going under
the machine for any reason.
1. Raise the reel to its full height and lower the header to the ground.
2. Shift the decks to create a work space at one end of the header if hydraulic deck shift is installed; otherwise,
move the decks manually after shutting down the windrower.
3. Stop the engine, remove the key, and engage the reel safety props.

ector (B) onto the endsheet
and temporarily install forward and aft 3/8 x 5/8 in. self
tapping screws (A).
6. Check the
fi
t of the forward end of the de
fl
ector (B)
on the cutterbar and ensure there is no gap between
the de
fl
ector and cutterbar. Remove and bend the
de
fl
ector as required to obtain the best
fi
t.
7. Install two 3/8 x 5/8 in. self tapping screws (A) and
tighten all four screws.

8. Position the aft de
fl
ector (C) as shown and install three
3/8 x 3/4 in. carriage bolts (B) and lock nuts.
9. Install two Torx
®
head screws (A) and lock nuts with the
heads facing down.
10. Tighten all fasteners.
11. Repeat for the opposite end of the header.
NOTE:
Draper de
fl
ector may be damaged by reel tines if
reel height is set incorrectly. Refer to
